Smyth Consulting, Inc. was incorporated in 1991. Our mission is to provide corporations with an alternative to consulting organizations pushing their own agendas or who believe that simply adding more technology will resolve any issues. SCI has always prided itself on understanding that technology is an enabler which can be employed to benefit an organization. Only when the business objectives and requirements are known does the opportunity for success far outweigh the chances of failure. Using our collective experiences, SCI typically works with both the business and technology personnel within an organization throughout the entire effort to ensure that the end delivery meets or exceeds expectations.

Our principals each have over twenty years of business and systems experience. Additionally, as a commitment to quality service, our skilled professionals typically bring over ten years of progressive business experience. This experience includes extensive analysis, process and work flow engineering, system architectural design, database modeling and design, programming, multi project management, quality assurance/testing, performance enhancement, human factors engineering, and training.

As both practitioners and utilizers of technology solutions, we realize that success most often depends on the human facet of any effort, even for those efforts which are automating current practices. We, therefore, utilize techniques such as Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, Rapid Application Development (RAD) sessions, full documentation, extensive testing with the end users, and full training to create our best practices method for ensuring successful implementation.
