These cumulative efforts helped to improve system responsiveness, user productivity, and extend the functionality of the applications.

Healthcare Insurance Provider

Working with a major healthcare insurance provider, Smyth Consulting, Inc. provided consultative services for two efforts. After working with senior management to define the requirements, goals, and objectives of the services proposed, a full project plan with schedules, resources and phased implementation dates was developed. The other effort defined and developed for executive management a "proof-of-concept" effort which examined the viability of extracting data from the mainframe and generating required and ad-hoc reporting through a client server architecture. This effort successfully demonstrated a much more efficient and less costly method for the analysis and mining of corporate data than currently utilized applications.
